ABOUT JULIE JACOBS | London Makeup Artist & Makeup Lessons

I’m a London-based makeup artist with more than twenty-five years experience in the fashion and beauty industry. My looks have appeared on runways and in publications from Japanese Vogue to i-D, and I’m Contributing Beauty Editor at .CENT Magazine.

I trained as a beauty therapist and began my career in Harrods’ fifth floor salon. From there I joined Steiner’s beauty salons aboard the QE2, Holland America and Carnival Cruises.

Where it started

When I came back to London, I followed my dream of becoming a makeup artist. I started by assisting established artists backstage at shows including Alexander McQueen, Prada, Miu Miu and Givenchy. I then went on to build my own client base, and I’ve worked as a guest makeup artist for Dolce & Gabbana, Shiseido, Clinique, Rimmel and IPC Media on exclusive PR events and “how to” videos.

My work is known for it's fearless creativity, always accompanied by a flawless complexion! 

Working with you

In recent years I’ve enjoyed passing on what I’ve learned over the years to private clients. I love helping women feel confident doing their own makeup, with techniques and products that suit their face and lifestyle.

After each lesson you’ll receive either bespoke face charts, videos and photographs (depending on which lesson that’s booked), so you can easily recreate every look at home.   • Bridal & special occasions. Makeup that looks beautiful in person and in photographs. The Bridal makeup includes a trial weeks before the wedding.

  • Personal shopping. Expert help finding the right products, without the guesswork.

I create and run “Skincare & Make-Up for Confidence” masterclasses and workshops for vulnerable adults, including survivors of domestic violence, women at HMP Downview, Embrace - Coventry, and at-risk teenagers (DBS certified).

Beyond Make-Up
