Julie’s Favourite makeup and skincare
With twenty five years experience in the beauty industry I have come across a lot of skincare and makeup products, so I’d like to share a few of my favourites with you. I have personally and professionally used every product so will be approaching every one from a position of experience.
So if you’re contemplating a new purchase, regime change or simply want to try a new look this collection will be food for thought.
Dr Dennis Gross B3 Adaptive Superfoods, Stress Rescue Super Serum is a light serum that I find absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. I apply it in the morning underneath my moisturiser. During the winter I may apply at night too.
Dr Dennis Gross B3 Adaptive Superfoods Stress Repair Face Cream is a great moisturiser to use while transitioning from winter to spring. It is neither a gel or a cream but a lovely refreshing combination of the two textures. It absorbs quickly leaving my skin feeling hydrated. Good for all skin types.
Bamford Botanic Hand Cream. As with most of us during the lockdown, I have been washing my hand a lot more than normal and as a result they are very dry. So this Bamford hand cream has been a knuckle saver…it absorbs nicely too.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer
A little goes a very long way. This is one of a few concealers I find I can use on its own (without wearing foundation or tinted moisturiser). It blends into my skin very nicely without standing out. They also have a very wide shade selection too.
Burt’s Bees Matte Lip Crayon. This is the creamiest matte lipstick I have ever used. It doesn’t dry my lips out and I often wear it when I go for a run.
**As a professional Makeup Artist I am privileged to be gifted a lot of cosmetics. However it still does not mean I’ll recommend every product given to me.
